    AN OXYMORON--a mini-epic novel

I am making some homemade mini-epic notebooks for a mini-epic novel. It is an oxymoron until you see it, and laugh with me.

The poetry festival reminded me that. one should have a gizmo to break tension and get the audience interested.

I did the joke on my epic novel and everyone laughed. (I hope not at me but at the joke) Just kidding. I am sure they laughed at the joke, not at me.

I always feel I am imposing when I read in Spanish to an English speaking audience, but, when others read in hebrew or German, I took pleasure in the melody of their poems.

I also learned that when you are reading in Spanglish or a bilingual poem, you should translate every sentence as you go along to not loose the audience.

    RELIGION MUSINGS
"Love God and do as you like" St Augustine. I found this quote by San Agustin, and it made the sun shine in my corner. It's good to remember that God is love, and the core and reason of my faith. Sometimes I get bogged down in religion's rules and church's mandates to appreciate the basic universal truth-- God is love and He sent His only son to save us from condemnation. We are free, through the outstretched arms of Jesus Christ, our Savior.

Today was a good day for writting
I wrote an original poem that was almost perfect the first time around. It's been a while since I have done that. I am stilL tweaking Cacophany and Gems. I added 4 chapters to my mini-book and I really like three of them. I even managed to update my handwritten journal and organize my notes. My angel must have been hard at work today. Late afternoon: What a headache! I am paying for all of that with a migraine. A couple of hours ago I thought I was on my way to the grave. Praise God, I am OK.

    2DO BEFORE I DIE
The book 2DO before I die is out (May 5, 2005). Story number 87 is my story, TO RUN A BED AND BREAKFAST. If you have read the book, please let me know what you think. The South American Explorers magazine is planning to publish one of my poems, Dunes.
I hate the fact that I don't have more time this week to post in this blog. I want to finish a story and mail it to Writers Digest. I have to go to the Oregon Christian Writers conference this week-end and I need to prepare for that. Plus a publisher asked for a mini bio and I haven't got any idea as to what to say. Love to you all, my readers who put up with me, and the up and down possibilities of having time to write.
To all who are Christians, please pray for me. And may God bless you all.
